In all of the texts we have been examining the Pixar story spine applied to all of them because they all had a hero. In the story Hercules, the hero is a strong demigod named Hercules. All of the challenges Hercules went through made him the person he was at the end of the story. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the hero is Gilgamesh. In the first stanza it states, “This story is the story of a man who knew all that could be known. He saw the hidden things from the time before the Flood... Gilgamesh — the wild bull, perfect in strength, surpassing all others.” According to the first stanza, Gilgamesh was a wise and strong person. Gilgamesh was a hero, that everyone looked up to. In the text it states “Long was his journey, and arduous his labors.” This means Gilgamesh will go through tough challenges that will wear him out. Despite all the challenges, Gilgamesh will overcome all of them, making him even stronger than he was in the beginning of the story.
