The Harry Potter at the Reptile House scene was the first sign of supernatural aid. In this scene, Harry discovered that he was able to communicate with the snake. The scene starts off with Dudley trying to wake up the snake from its sleep. When Dudley left, Harry apologized for his cousin’s actions, saying “Sorry about him. He doesn’t understand what it’s like, lying there day after day, watching people press their ugly faces in on you.” As Harry Potter and the snake continue to communicate, they express how they both didn’t know their parents. The snake was bred in captivity while Harry’s parents died. The supernatural aid was Harry’s magic. His magic made the glass disappear and allowed the snake to be free. To top it off, Dudley fell into the snake exhibit and when he tried to get out, the glass reappeared.
