In literature it is used for the cleansing of emotions of the characters. In the begin of the Epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh was not a good king. He took sons away from fathers and brides away from grooms on their wedding day. However, after Gilgamesh fought Enkidu, he began to become a better king. He protected his kingdom from the Bull of Heaven when it was terrorizing his citizens. Gilgamesh began to realize his own mortality when Enkidu died. After Gilgames...

The civilization that I would really like to learn about is the Ancient Greece and Romans. If I learn more about the Greece and Romans I can learn more about the gods and goddesses. The gods and goddesses is a subject that I find very interesting and that I like learning about.

If I don't do as well on a test, I study more so I can do better on the next one. I am also an organized student. All my work is in a folder for that particular subject. Another strength I have is that I do what I am told. If the teacher is speaking I listen to everything they say and do the classwork I am assigned. A goal I want to achieve is to pass all of my classes throughout all four years of high school. Even if I don't do as well as I hoped for, I...

Ishtar was desperate for Gilgamesh so she couldn't handle his rejection. Ishtar returned to heaven to complain to her father that Gilgamesh had insulted her. Then Ishtar asked her father to give her the Bull of Heaven. In tablet six it states "Give me the Bull of Heaven, father." she insisted. "I want to trample Gilgamesh, the arrogant one." After the bull was released, it was slain by Gilgamesh and Enkidu. While the people of Urak rejoiced with Gilgamesh, the gods...

The first similarity is that Enkidu and Gilgamesh have immense strength. No one else can match their strength except each other. Another similarity would be that Enkidu and Gilgamesh are feared. In the first tablet it states "Enkidu among the animals and saw how he scared the creatures away from their traps." However, Gilgamesh is feared by his people because of all the terror he has set upon them. In...

In the story Hercules, the hero is a strong demigod named Hercules. All of the challenges Hercules went through made him the person he was at the end of the story. In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the hero is Gilgamesh. In the first stanza it states, “This story is the story of a man who knew all that could be known. He saw the hidden things from the time before the Flood... Gilgamesh — the wild bull...

In this scene, Harry discovered that he was able to communicate with the snake. The scene starts off with Dudley trying to wake up the snake from its sleep. When Dudley left, Harry apologized for his cousin’s actions, saying “Sorry about him. He doesn’t understand what it’s like, lying there day after day, watching people press their ugly faces in on you.” As Harry Potter and the snake continue to communicate, they express how t...
